Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 5, 2026
Ballon Idea Planner is a fun, playful gift idea generator that helps you discover the perfect present for any occasion. This privacy policy explains how Ballon Idea Planner developed by KIUESTEIT LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles your information when you use our mobile application (“the App”) and our companion website at generate2269.com. By using the App or website, you agree to the practices described here.
What Information Do We Collect?
Automatically Collected Information
When you open the App, a small amount of information is collected automatically to make everything work smoothly:
- Anonymous identifier. The App generates a random, anonymous identifier the first time you open it. This helps us understand general usage patterns without knowing who you are. It stays on your device and is not tied to your name, email, or any personal account.
- Device language and region. We detect your device’s language setting so the App can display content in your preferred language.
- Google Advertising ID. The App collects the advertising identifier provided by Google Play Services. This is used for attribution — understanding how users discover the App (for example, through an ad or an organic search). You can reset this identifier or opt out of personalized advertising at any time in your device’s settings under Settings > Google > Ads.
- Installation and attribution data. We collect information about where the App was installed from (e.g., Google Play Store), the marketing campaign that led to the install (if any), and the attribution source. This helps us understand which channels bring users to the App.
Built-in Browser
The App includes a built-in browser used to display the Privacy Policy and the Support page directly within the App. The built-in browser supports cookies (including third-party cookies) and local storage as part of standard browser functionality. Any websites loaded in the built-in browser operate under their own privacy practices. The built-in browser does not collect any additional data beyond what is described in the section above.
Your Gift Data (Stored Locally)
Everything you create in the App — saved gift ideas, custom lists, occasion reminders, filter preferences, and settings — is stored locally on your device using a local database. This data is not transmitted to our servers. You can delete it at any time through the App’s Settings screen or by clearing the App’s data in your device settings.
Local Notifications
The App can send you local reminders about upcoming occasions (like birthdays or anniversaries) that you’ve set up. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device — no data is sent to any external notification service. You can turn reminders on or off in the App’s Settings, or disable notification permissions in your device settings at any time.
Support and Bug Reports
The App’s Support page allows you to send us a message or report a bug. When you submit a support request, you may provide:
- Your name and email address
- A description of your question or the issue you encountered
- An optional file attachment — you can take a photo or video using your device’s camera, or choose an existing file (such as a screenshot, image, or document) through your device’s file picker
This information is submitted only when you choose to send a support request. We use it solely to respond to your inquiry and resolve the reported issue. The App itself does not access your camera directly — photo and video capture is handled entirely by your device’s built-in camera app.
Why Do We Collect This Information?
We use the information described above to:
- Provide the App’s core features — saving ideas, building lists, and setting reminders
- Display content in your preferred language
- Understand how users discover the App and measure the effectiveness of outreach efforts
- Respond to support requests you submit
- Improve the App based on general usage patterns
Do We Share Your Data?
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with the following third-party service, solely for the attribution purposes described above:
- AppsFlyer — receives the advertising identifier, anonymous user identifier, attribution source, and campaign data to provide mobile attribution and marketing analytics. AppsFlyer may also collect additional device data (such as IP address, device model, and operating system version) as part of its standard operation. AppsFlyer Privacy Policy
Your locally stored gift data (saved ideas, lists, reminders) is never shared with any third party.
How Long Do We Keep Your Data?
- Anonymous identifier — stays on your device until you clear the App’s data or uninstall the App.
- Local gift data — stays on your device until you delete it within the App or clear the App’s data.
- Google Advertising ID — managed by Google Play Services. You can reset it at any time in your device settings.
- Cookies and local storage — follow standard browser expiration rules and are cleared when you clear the App’s data.
- Attribution data — retained by AppsFlyer in accordance with their own retention policies.
How Is My Data Protected?
All data transmitted between the App and external services uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Note that some network connections within the App may use unencrypted HTTP. Your locally stored data is protected by your device’s own security measures (screen lock, encryption, etc.).
What Are My Choices?
You have control over your data:
- Reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in Settings > Google > Ads on your device.
- Delete your gift data using the “Clear All Data & Reset” button in the App’s Settings screen.
- Turn off local reminders in the App’s Settings, or revoke notification permission in your device settings.
- Clear cookies and local storage by clearing the App’s data in your device settings.
- Remove everything by uninstalling the App, which deletes all locally stored data.
Is This App Safe for Children?
This App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Will This Policy Change?
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
